Privacy and Cookies

What happens to the information you enter and send through ILR Calculator is set out here. Under UK GDPR, the controller is Pembroke Lane Ltd, 30 St Mary Axe, London EC3A 8BF, United Kingdom. You can contact us at help@ilrcalculator.co.uk.

The Calculators

The trips calculator and the ILR date calculator both run in your browser. We are not sent the visa route, dates or trips that you enter. So they are still there next time, your browser holds them on this device as ilrc.when, ilrc.trips and ilrc.note. They are deleted when you press Change answers, remove a trip or clear your browser data.

About the Solicitor Form

Once you send the form, we receive the page you sent it from, your visa route, your message, your name, email address and phone number if you give one. We also make a record of the time, IP address, browser type and the consent sentence that appears next to the button, which serves as proof of your agreement.

These details let us pass your question on to an immigration solicitor, and the solicitor may contact you about it. Your consent is the lawful basis. The legal basis for keeping that consent on record and for preventing misuse of the form is our legitimate interests.

Others Who See Your Details

Your question is received by an immigration solicitor who takes ILR cases. Our host is Amazon Web Services, which also stores the form entries we receive. Some of its servers sit outside the UK, and every transfer follows the safeguards set out in UK GDPR. Your details are never used for advertising, and we do not sell them.

How Long We Keep Information

Once the solicitor has received it and any follow-up is resolved, a question is deleted. The consent record remains only as long as we might need it to prove your agreement. For a short time, the server keeps logs of IP address, page, time and browser, so the site stays secure and visits can be counted.

Cookies

Nothing is loaded from other companies, and no cookies are set: no analytics tags, no advertising, no social buttons. For that reason, no cookie banner appears. The three items kept on your device are strictly necessary so the site can remember your own answers.

Your Rights

You may object to how we use your details, ask us to limit that use, ask us to correct or delete them, ask for a portable format copy, or ask us to send them to you. Emailing us lets you withdraw your consent at any time; what happened before is not affected by this. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) will consider your complaint if you are unhappy with our handling of your details.
